Pico Union Pawn Shop
Our first business is to make loans and collect interest.
Secondly we buy merchandise if the customer would rather sell.
In this business climate it is increasingly hard to survive with just one asset.
Our preferences are as follows
Priority; Gold, Silver, Diamonds, Precious Metals.
Brand name watches.
Designer Jewelry
Designer Hand Bags
Electronics is also a good asset, ie. DSLR Camera, recent laptop models, (Microsoft, Apple), Apple products ie. iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, iMacs, Samsung Products, (recent demanded electronics)
High valuable Jordan Retro shoes in optimal condition.
Anything of value should also be emphasize.
Since Google’s Medic update, we must pay attention to focal points that web crawlers are looking for, such as expertise, trust, authority, security, and privacy.
Our current site visually lacks from a trust and reliability standpoint. Our branding needs to be clearly professional service oriented.
From a layout standpoint, our site should be full-width with areas and tiles that span from edge to edge on desktop and stack elegantly on mobile. We need a hero image on the homepage and a simple call-to-action above the fold (similar to Firefox download page), but stronger focus around the first summary paragraph of content and on trust signals mentioned above on subpages.
Color pallet should be a mix of whites, blacks, and yellows, elegant, simple, and with fonts that can be read clearly without squinting or zooming.
Please include the following.
About Us
One of the leading Los Angeles pawnshops in the California area, we have served local residents from Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Glendale, West Los Angeles, Westwood, Inglewood, Brentwood, and Santa Monica for over 40 years. Our aim as professional gold buyers is to serve our Los Angeles residents with honest and reliable service from a Hollywood pawnshop
The homepage will be the page navigated to the most. It's currently blog category and now we're aiming for an actual custom page of content. There should be a strong hero banner at the top with a focus on converting visitors into leads (unlike an article or blog post).
Other areas/sections of the page should focus on the elements we will have in our main navigation, including Collateral Loan, Sell You Assets, Shop, Resources, Blog
Subnavigation under topics will include things such as buying and selling diamonds, guitars, luxury watches, checklists and guides, and finding the right location. Subnav under Resources will include links to the blog, glossary, podcasts and a "Learn" section where we'll be giving suggestions on books, magazines, conferences, schools and providing tutorials.
For layouts, draw inspiration from: https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/…mples-list
Note how this page offers imagery that tells the user where, what and why: https://www.azizilawfirm.com/truck-…ent-lawyer (particularly on desktop). You may have to read a bit about us on our website to come up with compelling selling propositions to draw inspiration from.
Avoid clutter, focus on simplicity. Avoid old school bevel and embossing, or too much drop-shadow use.
Read our full project brief for a better understanding of the functionality we'll be adding, but keep in mind that phase one is simply design and aesthetics. We'll have a developer build out the coding once we're happy with the layout and design.
