The site is a blog as well as a programmers portfolio. The blog will focus mainly on programming but it will also touch on living a healthy lifestyle, going to the gym, being able to communicate, breaking nerdy stereotypes and so on.
I like the grey backgrounds and shadowed text/lines: http://jonnotie.nl/ http://www.mikeinghamdesign.com/ http://www.youtube.com/ http://www.eutelnet.biz/ http://tobiasahlin.com/#/Code I like the idea of featured work/blog posts http://vesess.com/ http://www.concentric-studio.com/ In the header, I Like the logo to the left and navigation to the right http://bkwld.com/ http://www.concentric-studio.com/ http://www.moltefacce.com/ I like the intro/blurbs below the headers http://www.markboultondesign.com/ http://jonnotie.nl/ I like the dark footers http://www.moltefacce.com/ http://www.jduerr.com/ http://markboultondesign.com/ourwork
See the attached specifications for more details but basically I require a landing page, pages for a portfolio (list/details), pages for a blog (list/details). Each page should contain contact information such as social networking links and a contact us style form. I already have a logo which I have attached.
I prefer minimalist designs. I like light grey backgrounds like http://www.youtube.com although it doesn't necessarily need to be textured. I like blue (same as in the logo). I like nice clean fonts eg Open Sans. I like greyscale social network icons that light up when hovered over. I don't want to sway the designs but I've included a picture of what I was thinking...
