Krenzer got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Web redesign for architecture company
Check out Krenzer's Web page design contest…
We are a craft business that builds high-quality conservatories in different styles: Traditional, classic conservatories or orangeries in the Victorian style, simple and plain conservatories in the modern style, and exclusive, minimalist extensions with the world-renowned Sky-Frame windows. In addition, we have specialized in realizing high-end pool houses, and restaurant/hotel extension projects. With regard to this line of business, the typical customers are private individuals in Germany or Switzerland with medium or high income (often over 50 years old). Nevertheless, our target audience is not restricted to this segment. Apart from this extension building business, we are going to be appointed dealer and installer of Sky-Frame windows, luxury Swiss made frameless sliding windows (see: https://www.sky-frame.com/en/). These windows have been used in many current architectural avant-garde projects. With respect to this windows business, it is essential to attract and convince architects with whom we intend to cooperate more in the future. We assume that particularly architects value an aesthetic and up-to-date website with a commitment to design in general.
Please refer to the "final briefing" PDF document that we have uploaded. Everything that we regard as important should be explained in there. Our redesigned website shall be perceived as clean, light and minimalist, modern, elegant and high-quality. The colours shall be primarily black and white (maybe also grey). The user shall visually understand our commitment to high-quality, design and aesthetics. It shall lead to a certain “wow effect”, but shall also be easy to understand and use.
Please refer to the "final briefing" PDF document we have uploaded.
What to avoid
• striking colours or any new colours • hamburger menu • one-line footer • graphics with an angle (see sky-frame.com) • little dots, numbers or arrows as background • images as background (of images) • card design • shadows or other special effects • too bold, too big and non-elegant fonts • too many different fonts (preferably only one serif font and one or two sans serif fonts) • orange on the page (except for the logo), possibly only for the discreet lines at the most • a web menu showing only “Home” and “Sky-Frame” • any kind of photograph/image filter
We have formulated some suggestions from our side. Please have a look at the "final briefing" PDF document and refer to this briefing when you begin to redesign the pages. Everything important should be explained in this separate PDF file. Thanks for your collaboration!
