JRTN got their new web page design by running a design contest:
SpringGage needs a new website design
Check out JRTN's Web page design contest…
Business & Consulting
SpringGage is focused on information performance. It is our belief that in the Information Age, business performance equals information performance. We review, restructure and realign a company’s information strategy with their business strategy.
Most of these websites are marketing or web design companies. While we are not a marketing or web design company we do like the look of these sites. http://www.directdesign.it/IT/index.php http://www.foehn.co.uk/ http://www.kupferwerk.com/ http://onehub.com/ http://sprinklepenny.com/ http://litmus.com/ http://glue.be/en/
We have included some fairly detailed wireframes in this contest. You could characterize them as med-fi wireframes. Use them as a guide as they are not pixel perfect. The sample content areas and navigation shouldn’t change. Use the wireframes as a guide for your design. The width of the wireframes is 960px. Home Page The home page main image should contain the text – “In the Information Age, business performance equals information performance.” We do not have image for this so please include this in the design. We have included 2 versions of the home page as a guide. You may pick one and use or you may use them as guides to create your own version of the home page. The boxes beside the Services, Solutions and Our Work areas represent icons. These will need to be created. The row of horizontal boxes represents client logos. We do not have any logos at the moment, so please use some logos as examples to give us an idea of the look and feel. We’ll update them later with our own client logos. Header and Footer. If you wish to redesign these areas, you may do so but the all the content in the header and footers must be included. Solutions Overview The boxes besides on this page represent icons for the various solutions. Solutions Page The boxes on this page represent icons which will need to be created.
This is high-end professional services so we need a website that reflects this to our clients. A clean Web 2.0-style website would work here We have included the wireframes of our website for reference. They are not pixel perfect so if you think you can create better ones then please do. We have also included some drop down samples, with the first page acting as inventory of web pages and the second page provides some look and feel options. After the website has been designed we will be running an additional design contest for a series of icons. What is Information Performance? Information performance includes content and processes. For content we help companies find, organize and understand their content. Examples of this would include document management, records management, information architecture and user experience design. For information processes we would help companies share, collaborate and automate their business processes. Examples of this are business workflows, industry compliance, eDiscovery and document life cycle management. Target Client We are targeting the C-Suite (CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, COOs, etc.) in companies with yearly sales between 200 million to 1 billion. Typical companies would include professional services, banks, insurance firms, municipal governments and mining, oil and gas. Professional services firms would include engineers, project management and accountancy but not law firms. Basically, any company or organization that is process orientated. One group that is not in our target audience is IT professionals, including CIOs. While our services optimize a company’s business processes and information technology approach, IT professionals are not our target audience and that includes CIOs.

ngMedia was superb. Top-notch work, professionally done, quick turn-around and always very responsive. He exceeded our expectations in terms of the caliber of his designs and also as far as his work ethic. The designs were very original and stood out relative to a very competitive field of other great contestants. I look forward to engaging with him in the future and would highly recommend him to others.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
