We are looking for a slight refinement to our site design. The site is a technology trade website geared towards the younger crowd (tween/teen and young adults) that have a number of "no longer used" electronic products.
the site is targeted towards tweens/teens and young adults
We need the site to have clean usability and logical flow to give the user an "ease-of-use" experience. The design and back-end code has been developed but the site needs USABILITY refinement in areas of:
Login [UserName - Password - Forgot Password link] (location/prominence)
Navigation (consistent location of graphical links)
Shopping Cart graphic (for product we offer)
Trading Cart graphic (for product user has to trade)
The HOME page layout differs from the subsequent pages. Banner images on SUB pages reflect the section/category the user is in. The biggest "usability" concern is the location and prominence of important functionality (see above)n on these SUB pages. There is a difference between BUYING and SELLING so the "shopping cart" graphics/icons need to reflect this.
Site colors are:
gradient background #505C5B to #1E1E1E
Site/Page Example: (see attached)
SUB PAGE (search by category - game condsole)
Layered PSD file or Illustrator file for layout tweeks and graphical icons only - NO CODING
We are looking for sensible solutions to usability issues
