We provide a platform for dealers all around the world to sell, charter and rent their products, ranging from cars to watches to jets to real estate. The goal is to encompass a wide category of products and to keep a high standard within them, far from every car or watch belongs on JamesList.
Our dealers are international and so is our users.
Our majority audience is between 30 and 60, with a higher income than normal and with a taste for nice things. The audience won't be found on many other sites online, and magazines are still a big player in terms of reaching the right people.
Our visitors are often on the run, busy traveling or in between meetings, it's therefore important with a clean, easy and familiar interface with as little clutter as possible.
The site should feel exclusive and sober.
We want to be able to lift up content that we feel is special in a nice and clean way.
Less boxes and more invisible lines.
Gray scale works, but you're welcome to add color (just remember that a feeling of exclusivity is required).
Feel free to change the menu to a non-drop-down one if you feel it can increase the usability and overall atheistic.

- The Search area needs to be moved to its own space. We require more menu spacing.
- The content is important, a nice way to show content that's exiting or special is a must.
- More than a two column layout from top to bottom, maybe add a three column area somewhere where we can push certain content?
- All the content in the different boxes needs to be represented, not necessarily in the same ratio though. The exception is the category icons in the top right section, they can be removed.
- JamesSpotting is our blog.
- A magazine (think glossy heavy paper) / exclusive feel is required, not a lot of "web 2.0 gradient" design.
A very locked design in terms of column and boxes.
A lot of black vs. white in the design causes the eyes to travel to areas that aren't necessarily important.
Clean lines (boxes but without the obvious boxyness). Sober and clean colors.
