Westonruter got their new web page design by running a design contest:

This website will be the main hub for the work of a professor/author/speaker (Paul Louis Metzger). It will be a central location for fans to access all of his material—information about his books, upcoming speaking engagements, resources that inspire him, etc. Dr. Metzger writes about Christian theology and culture.
Dr. Metzger’s current work is spread between www.new-wineskins.org, www.consumingjesus.org, and www.theologyofculture.org, and multiple blogs like http://blogs.christianpost.com/uncommon-God-common-good/.
Every page in this website will seek to provide followers with information about Dr. Metzger’s work and other similar work, all in one easy to navigate location. There will be pages for each of the author’s books, pages for each of his ministries, a page to display all of his writing that is freely accessible online, pages to see resources he recommends, etc. (More of this information is available in the attached sitemap document.) Each of the pages will be one of two templates: post list and single post. The post list would be the homepage, which has a timeline feed of his writings and other activities; the single post template would be the detail view of the post, showing the full content, related media, and comments.
What to avoid
Cliche Christian looks. No cheesy crosses or Jesus fish or rainbows. Nothing that feels too “white” culture. Also, the goal is not to create a “brand” for Paul Louis Metzger. Even though most everything on the site will be written by Dr. Metzger, the purpose of the site is to share the to values in Trinitarian theology and theology of cultural engagement.
The "Connecting Christ", "Promo flyer" and "Gospel of John" docs all show covers of books Dr. Metzger has written.
