I am a project manager. This field is stupid.
This site will target immigrants that don't have access to their home TV channels, to the wide public that likes to watch live TV on their PC or mobile devices anywhere in the world, for sport fans, for travelers that want to see their home channels, for TV broadcasters, for social networking, for everyone, actually!
I am interested in creating a live TV broadcasting web page, similar to http://www.ustream.tv and http://www.livestream.com . The site will operate by selling monthly subscriptions to premium TV channels and broadcasting free TV channels. A TV channel can be broadcasted by any visitor and he will earn money if he streams a popular channel.
Site name: EverythingOn.TV
Top menu: Home, Premium Channels, Broadcast Now, EveryThingOn.TV Guide .... Login, Signup
This is going to be the very first page seen by visitors and it's critically important to get their attention and not let them leave the site.
On this page, we'll show our visitors in a very user friendly and interactive manner the fact that they can view many premium (paid) high quality live TV channels from all over the world (most important), that they can instantly get a 3 day FREE TRIAL of these premium channels, that they can earn money by broadcasting TV channels and a list of free channels / user created rooms.
For example, livestream.com uses a field for creating a channel, a button to start broadcasting and a learn more button. That’s a good idea.
Also, please use a ‘search channels’ field.
The designer that creates the best design for this page will be the winner.
The whole site background should be white and the site wide enough. If you use some smooth and not intrusive background styles (like in header of joost.com, but they're too obvious) would also be cool. With a white background you could use a nice contrast like red/grey, but you've got the full decision on this, you're the expert designer. The site should be centered. The footer should be similar to the example sites (livestream.com or ustream.tv).
Please use a sample logo, I don’t have one, now.
In the very beginning there will be 16 premium channels that'll work on subscriptions, this will have to be highlighted, perhaps by creating a list of these channels’ logos. Also, the price of monthly subscriptions, starting at $X.XX will have to be highlighted, too.
You could create 2 categories on the first page, premium TV (and their logos) and free TV, I don’t know, you decide.
Premium Channels Page
This will be a page displaying a page similar to this one: http://www.livestream.com/guide/livetv?count=20
This page should contain the ordering methods, languages and category selection. On each channel there will also be a star rating.
Broadcast Now Page
This will be a guidance page, but will also contain a broadcaster login/signup button, similar to http://www.livestream.com/platform/…ingstarted , with the menu on the left, which will contain the following links: Broadcaster's Guide, Viewer's Guide, About Us, Help & Support.
EveryThingOn.TV Guide Page
This will be part of the above page and will have content similar to this one: http://www.livestream.com/platform/…broadcasts
I want you to create sample forms design for this page. These forms will be used all over the site.
Live streaming page
I would like you to create the design of the same content as in ustream.tv and livestream.com live video pages (video interface, chat interface, recommended live shows – having the same style as in ‘Premium Channels Page’, About this channel, category, language, tags). This page will have the video size of 960x720 or 640x480 or 320x240 and chat under / next to it. The video will have a volume control, start/pause button, full screen button and a large size button.
My account page
My account menu: My Account, Personal Info, Favorite Channels, Billing history, Logout.
Sample content for the following pages: My account, Personal info.
Please feel free to ask me any questions about this.
