The designer does not have to do anything different next time. They did a great job.
How Scott C. started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Window Restoration and Repair
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We repair windows in historic buildings, both residential and commercial. We are carpenters for old windows. We make those fantastic, old things work beautifully again. Our customers are home and building owners that want skilled, traditional craftsmen to preserve the original appearance and function of their home or building.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
sawdust, hand-tools, natural wood, trustworthy traditional craftsmanship. The belief: "Repair... don't replace". Sustainability... the belief: "The greenest window is the one that doesn't go in the landfill".
1) Homepage - stunning design, concise description of our work.
2) Interior page - for repeated use on 'Services' or 'About us' pages
What to avoid
Bright colors (pastels) probably don't work in an 'historic' palette, but I'll leave that to you!
I would love to explore a tiny, subtle motion on the homepage. Our customers are about 50/50, home PC vs. mobile browser. They tend a little older as they are homeowners, but they LOVE preservation and lean 'hip' versus 'stodgy'.
