How Gary1722038 started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This is a website intended to introduce potential clients to my law firm. It cannot provide legal advice, but should make the viewer want to hire me and my staff. My firm focuses on litigating family law issues, e.g., divorce, child custody, paternity, etc. It is aimed at the population of the San Francisco Bay Area, including the Russian population. To that end, one page will be exclusively in the Russian language.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Please take a look at my existing website for page names, basic layout, and the goal of each page. What I need from you is a Home page and one more sub-level page. I am not "married" to the exact design of the current website (no pun intended) but would like my new website to break the content into similar page categories. I also want to re-use the clip art currently featured on the site. I purchased rights to these photos, so I should be able to continue using them.
What to avoid
Giving legal advice, which would have the effect of creating an attorney-client relationship with everyone who happens to browse to my site. Also, I DO NOT want my website to look and feel like all other attorney websites - stuffy, boring, linear. Example - no themes involving a judge's gavel, blind justice, or law books. Since I handle family law litigation, there should be NO themes involving wedding bands or divorce decrees.
