Kschulman14 got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Help DonorVoice with a new website design

Survey research company focused exclusively on helping non-profits improve donor retention. We do this by collecting the voice of the donor through Donor Commitment surveys and Voice of Donor (VOD) online engagement tools for greater retention. The Commitment model is a very good predictor of future behavior. Our surveys quantify this relationship for the client and identify the marketing, fundraising and operational activities that impact it. Higher donor Commitment levels lead to stronger org/donor relationships, which leads to greater retention. Our online engagement tools are simple, easy to use products that are inspired by our Commitment model and deliver easy ways to engage the client's website (and Facebook) visitors through online, event triggered surveys and soliciting of ideas that get voted up or down by others.A company that uses the voice of the donor (i.e. survey research) to improve donor acquisition and retention. The acquisition product is a sophisticated methodology and tool to pre-test, in low risk/low cost environment, a large number of direct mail package ideas to identify potential winners and losers. This insight is used to focus limited resources on live direct mail tests with the best chance of performing well and beating the control.
http://ideascale.com/. this is visually elegant, simple, clean. http://www.launchmind.com/ http://www.constantcontact.com/index.jsp - a lot going on here (but probably closer to the amount of stuff we have going on than ideascale) http://tracking-time.com/ http://www.freshbooks.com/ other things we like, 1) Big typography 2) rich user interfaces 3) media blocks 4) modal boxes
Home Page: the purpose is to very, very simply convey what we do, the products and the benefit. Secondarily, it should show that we are living our brand by always listening to the voice of the donor and being the best source for this insight. We anticipate it having the following content. 1) main nav bar 2) feedback widget (this is one of our products, clicking it launches a pop up window with questions from us soliciting ideas - the ideas can be voted up or down) 3) some sort of graphic or image that conceptually conveys our approach to donor retention, the importance of Commitment to drive donor behavior and the behavior of the org is what dictates Commitment (or lack of it). 4) framed out space to rotate images/text/screencast of our 3 main products 5) wordcloud or other visual display of two different twitter searches, one is "love AND charity", other is "hate AND charity" along with a love/hate count on number of tweets. 6) Poll of week results (not us asking them to fill out a poll). this are poll results from a weekly question we'll ask of donors. Product Page: We anticipate two levels for the product page, overview (all together) and the detail (one per page). The one exception to this is the pre-test tool, which can probably be displayed on one page, never shown with other products and not require a sub-page. The powerpoint visual will do best job of visually conveying all this. Blog/resource/lab page we have not thought through the content or design for this at all. There will be a blog, there will be downloadable and viewable resources (e.g. white papers, details from old poll results, other). There will likely be a lab recruitment and update section (maybe "member-only" for the updates).
The powerpoint mock up is not intended in ANY WAY to reflect ideas or preferences on design, simply to array content on pages. So, please don't interpret or use it as anything other than a rough cut at the different page types and content for each. P.S. There is also a blog on word reds in need of a serious facelift. If the winning designer works out on the website we will likely commission that same shop for the blog.
