StevenJGood got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Greeks for Good needs a new website design - We're mobilizing fraternity and sorority members to do good.
Check out StevenJGood's Web page design contest…
Community & Non-Profit
Through the fundraising efforts of fraternity and sorority members young and old on the way to achieving personal goals, Greeks for Good will allow fraternal organizations to mobilize their membership bases to help support (raise dollars for) their own foundations as well as their preferred charity partners. Along the journey, a suggested self-guided curriculum will provide each participant with an opportunity to learn about the value of philanthropy and goal setting.
Not yet. Will be www.greeksforgood.org
www.aflv.org - Parent website - Greeks for Good website does not need to be laid out like www.aflv.org but the branding (colors) should be the same. http://aspcaambassadors.donordrive.com/ Looking for a very clean design - Sharp colors, textures, eye-catching with a "do good" feeling.
Reference the "Greeks for Good Website Mockup" image. This is VERY rough, but wanted to put together to show the different features we need. They are: 1) Ability to sign up or subscribe for e-newsletters/RSS/Blog feed 2) Header with Greeks for Good image, text about the program, AFLV logo, and social media icons (Facebook, Twitter, RSS, Blog) 2) Drop-down menus - Home, About, How To Participate, Resources 3) Member log-in and participant search feature 4) Homepage slider that will have 4 images - Please use a different image than what's there. 5) Four live widget boxes showing the top fundraisers in four different categories: Individuals, Organizations, Campuses, Charities 6) The four ways to participate - Team Greeks for Good, Fundraising Events, Tribute Page, AFLV Service Immersion Trips 7) Promo and link to Greeks for Good apparel store 8) Live tracker of total dollars raised 9) Scrolling logos of the organizations and campuses who are participating 10) "A Grassroot Give Program Powered by....." (Software vendor logo to be included later. 11) Background of website should have some neat texturing. Doesn't necessarily need to be orange but should match the Greeks for Good logo colors. 12) Footer - Get creative! Examples for inside content pages: http://www.jhfundraising.com/e/mcampbell http://tinyurl.com/6m8tdou http://tinyurl.com/7povfp5 Please take liberty in the design layout to your liking. Mockup was only to show the different features we need.
The homepage design should be easily customizable to create templates for organizations and campuses who come on board. The target audience for the program is Greek members (fraternity and sororities). The majority of participants will be college student or young alumni.
