We've recently redesigned our site, but the part of the front page below the line following "Cart is Empty | Checkout" and above the "Free Shipping" banner needs to be re-done.
The re-design is ONLY for this portion of the front page. If you look at the HTML, you will see that the part we want redesigned is entirely inside the "mainbox-container" class. This part of the front page is a holdover from the old site and doesn't match well with our new site's theme.
The entries should be layered Photoshop documents; no code is required. We will have someone break up the layers and code them.
We're looking to target the younger generation. It's a box handbag, so this is not particularly easy, so the design needs to be hip.
The existing wallpaper is attached (wallpaper.jpg) but isn't too hip. Use it if you like or discard it in favor of something more exciting - either way, we'll be excited to look at your entries.
We have a custom insert designer system, where customers can upload their own images to design an insert for their handbag. We want to use the right half of the front page to display the top 3-5 inserts (you choose how many). We can either display all four sides, or just display one side and have the custom click to view the full insert. Either way, the right side should have a gallery for the top few customer-designed inserts. (Attached are filler images you can use. These are the base images that customers design their inserts upon.)
The left side should be focused on selling the handbag and insert products. This is where we really need you to get creative. We currently have 14 mini-images of handbag inserts on the left. You can keep these, use some of them, or use none. We just need to communicate 1) that we are selling our unique handbag brand, and that we want you to browse the selection and 2) that you can shop for inserts to switch in and out of our handbags.
The "Handbags", "Inserts" and "Gift Certificates" menu images need to be redesigned as well. The font and color should match the site's overall theme, and the font size should be consistent. Feel free to make it look very stylish and even flashy.
We also need links to the blog, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages. You can use the current images, or use images that you feel better fit your design.
