Dave Haggblad got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Design a Photography Website Template!
Check out Dave Haggblad's Web page design contest…
A website for a small business that focuses on showcasing their photography portfolio projects.
We would like a homepage with a large feature slider, a portfolio feature listing, and a blog listing. The second page should be a blog page. This should include a list view of blog posts, containing thumbnail, title, short description, release date, and comment counter. The detail view should include a header image, title, blog content, release date, comment counter, facebook like button, and comment form (message, name, email, CAPTCHA, and submit). A sidebar should include list of popular posts and newsletter subscription form with name, email, and submit button. The third page should be a list/grid view of all portfolio projects, with thumbnail, year of project, title, and short description. The detail view should include title, description, and list of gallery images.
The template is to use fonts from the Google Fonts library only. The design must include a home page, one column inside page, two column inside page, as well as complete inside layouts using the provided PSD as a template. This PSD template should be provided with the final design files. The template file attached is only to demonstrate the elements in need of design for an inner page. The template file is NOT a guideline for the branding or overall layout. It is only a help to demonstrate modules that need to be included in the final layout, however the designer has full control over the appearance of these elements.
