vloerlamp.com (floorlamp)
Our company is selling floor lamps to the Dutch consumer; for now we have a small shop but are going to sell our floor lighting online.
Our team consists of 3 lighting enthusiasts who travel through Europe to visit small designers and exhibitions to see new trends and designs.
The company will launch a B2C web shop which focuses on selling floor lamps. The company will mainly work with designers, small suppliers or manufacturers in an attempt to offer unique lighting products.
The company however targets on the upper / middle- class consumer. Since we're working with lighting and interior designers we're targeting the "less is more" customer who's into design.
Our customers are a tech savy and like brands such as Apple, Bang & Olufsen, Moooi Design, Artemide and the "Barcelona Chair". Architecture like the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and Flatiron in New York City are also their choice.
Our clients expect the best, and something they've never seen in another store or living room.
Like we stated, less is more, modern, with a clean overview and good usability.
We ourselves are very web 3.0 orientated and web savy.
The width can be at 960 pixels, no stock photo's or stock icons.
We like illustrated designs like:

We don't want flash elements, just fancy and slick CSS designs; We've made a moodboard for you guys to see what we like (attached).
Please don't send us ms paint designs, if you know what I mean.
The design of the shop must be strong, professional and convincing. Since many costumers are using the internet for orientation purposes and offline purchases only, the design is crucial to convert the costumer in the online purchase on the web shop.
Since most of our products are photographed on a white background, we think the background needs to be calm and quiet. e.g. white, gray
As you see above, we like websites with a twist. Something funny and colourful is possible in the header, navigation or footer.
