Cool wordpress design for a social startup blog

social-startups.de is an online platform (wordpress blog) for every one who seeks information on social entrepreneurship and innovative business ideas that help to solve problems of society. Basically, we write blog articles about these ideas or startup companies that have a social impact. Usually, we write about innovative ideas in order to show that social entrepreneurship is "cool".

Our target is: Journalists, investors, consumers who are interested in sustainable products / ideas, people interested in (social) entrepreneurship, university students, NGOs

The new design should somehow communicate that our blog is about social topics. Colors: no green or blue should be used asprimary colors, we rather prefer yellow tone, black, brown (something that makes you think of planet earth); the layout could be copied from typical online magazines, however, we would appreciate it if you could suggest other layouts that deviate from the classical magazine themes. The (menu) button shapes may also differ from the typical rectangle buttons.

With the new design, we would like to show that social entrepreneurship is "cool" and not boring.

The main website of the new theme should have a primary and a secondary menu, space for a logo, a search box, a slider with the newest 5 posts, a preview of the latest postst (10 posts on the main page) with an article picture, a widget sidebar (one or two colums), social media buttons, newsletter sign up, a slider above the footer where the logos of our partners will be placed. Also, there should be space for five banner ads.

Please feel free to suggest themes that deviate from the classical magazine layouts. However, please keep in mind that the heart of our website is the blog articles.

Please note, that the current logo will also be redesigned. So you do not have to stick to the design of our current logo.
