Prinly needed a new web page design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 98 designs submitted by 15 freelance designers.
Prinly
I co-founded and recently was President of Conductor.com, a leading provider of SEO measurement and optimization technology.
This project is to create a design for my new venture, prinly.com. A website that aims to streamline and automate the process of designing and ordering business stationery. If this new venture is half as successful as my last venture this will be the first of many projects.
We would like to target small businesses with the goal of becoming much larger. We will not be the least expensive but we pride ourselves on the relationships we make and will consistently work with the customer as their business grows.
Since our product will not be the least expensive by any means the website needs to portray an image of quality. Through the site's design the customer should understand that we are not a cheap site and the quality of the printed work will be far superior than the budget printers.
The designs should be simple and comforting. I want to portray an image of trust and quality so the colors should not be too harsh. There also should be a call to action to start designing, on the home page and product page. There should also be a place to "learn more" about each product on the home page much like there is now.
It is also important that the design blend with the bottom portion of our online designer. The top portion with all the links such as "home, business cards, letterheads, envelopes, postcards, full set, pricing, etc should be changed with the new design. the homepage - currently at http://64.131.81.22/
This page should pretty much have the same information as the link above with a completely new design. I will be adding new products as time goes by as well so the design should be flexible enough so there is room for many more products to be displayed on the homepage. If need be we can remove the categories and add a text description.
A product page - you can find an example at http://64.131.81.22/full-set
Again the content here should be the same and I can supply you with any needed images
A blank template page for use with the faq, tos, and other items
The 4th page is a bit more unique... After people save their product design they are sent an email with a link to access their design. This design will be for the email that is sent. There is another website that offers save functionality similar to ours and I have uploaded the email that they send and titled it "4th page.png". I don't necessarily like the design of this email, I just uploaded it to give you an idea of the concept.
We haven't launched yet and the only way to access the site is at http://64.131.81.22
