The Oakland Pirates are an amature Australian Football team competing in the Golden Gate Australian Football League (GGAFL.COM). The league is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
A few years ago, the Oakland Pirates nemesis team the San Francisco Knights replaced their old jersey's with fancy new ones. However the new jersey's were very close in colour to the Pirates existing jersey's (see photo's). The Pirates sued the Knights for damages and won a six pack of coors light and a bar of soap.
However, the colour clash remains.
We need a new look and we need you to help.
We're men. Manly men. Pirate type men with day jobs. We want a striking but fear worthy look.
Please see the attached photo's for examples of Australian Football Jersey's. They are a sleeveless synthetic exercise top - so all colors and shades are available. The examples are not meant to suggest you stick to certain themes or colors, they are merely a guide. IF YOU USE THE LOGO, USE IT IN AN ORIGINAL WAY. It is not a requirement of the project at all.
PLEASE NOTE: The other teams in the competition have predominantly BLUE, predominantly RED and Predominantly YELLOW jersey's. Don't necessarily avoid these colors entirely, but be sure not to create a brilliant jersey that we must reject 'cause it clashes with another team colors.

Usually Australian football tops are simple things. Your design doesn't have to be simple, but adding intrinsic detail to the jersey is not recommended.
Reviversoft is a major sponsor of the GGAFL and is hence running this contest for them.
