Untwist the Facts is a counter-reaction to the extreme media. In an increasingly polarized society where discourse and debate has given way to talking heads screaming over each other, Untwist the Facts produces creative content to help educate the public and bring people together. From videos to blog posts to podcasts, the mission is to be diplomatic and non-partisan in an effort to understand all perspectives and help find solutions to the ongoing issues in the world. So far, Untwist the Facts has produced a podcast that narrates stories about the Supreme Court, which both entertains and informs. Our target audience is mainly adults between 21 and 35 who consume information online (or through podcasts) and who have had enough of the click-bait inflammatory headlines and actually want to understand all the points of view involved. The media spends a lot of time twisting facts - our mission is to untwist them, which means breaking down arguments, keeping an open mind, and focusing on constructive solutions rather than blame. Above all though, our tone is inclusive and light-hearted while our content is innovative and entertaining.
I'm attaching the logo of our founder's personal law firm (an "A" made with scales of justice) which is a very different target audience but gives an idea for the personal brand behind Untwist the Facts. I'm also attaching the current logo for "May It Please the Court," our first podcast which tells stories about the Supreme Court. This one is a bit of a work in progress but also gives an idea of the general themes we're working with. Finally, I'm also attaching an advertising poster we used to promote Untwist the Facts.
