What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Community & Non-Profit
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We support people with developmental disabilities to live full, meaningful lives. We provide services for children, for young adults and adults, as well as community inclusion services and quality assurance. All services for people with developmental disabilities are paid for by local tax dollars, and state and federal funds. Our audience for this billboard is the tax payer - the general public in our county.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I need two billboards designed. The boards are required to have images of people with disabilities front and center. The message for both billboards is - "We support people to live full, meaningful lives". The boards will look the same, except the photos will be different. Our logo must be on the board, as well as a Facebook logo and our website address. Our intention is to draw attention to the person with a disability - so, when drivers see the board, the first thing they see is the person with a disability. The point is that we (The Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities) is behind them and their families, providing support and service so they can live full, meaningful lives. Our services are paid for by local tax dollars. We will not be on the ballot until 2018, so, this board is a precursor to any levy-related materials we will be rolling out in 2018. The colors that we like to use are the specific PMS colors of our logo (which I can send to you) as well as purples and oranges.
I have a DropBox folder of images that can be used for this board. I will include a few of the images here - but know that there are more to choose from. Most of the images have the backgrounds cut out - that is what I prefer. If you choose to use an image that does not have its background cut out, please cut it out. My main goal is to have, at most, 5 photos of people in the billboard. If you would like to see all of the images, please drop me a message and provide your email address. I will invite you to view the folder.
