Hornelen is a mountain steeped in legend. Several folklores have their origin at Hornelen. It is said that witches gather to rest up here on their way to and from Bloksberg, and there is also claimed that a troll lives in the north east corner. According to a well-known saga, Viking King Olav Tryggvason supposedly climbed right up this steep rock face on Hornelen. The logo shows a climber going up the word HVF meaning going up the Hornelen Via Ferrata. The letter V of the word HVF is shown to be in the negative space just to create a bit more attention towards the design.
