Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We have developed a product that washes a UV protection into cotton clothing. A white t-shirt offers an UPF (SPF) of 5. Our product gives cotton clothing a minimum of SPF 30+. Our target audience are parents with children 12 and under.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We need packaging created to hold 5 one ounce powder packets. The product is called Spectrum Sun Wash and needs to include UPF 30+. It's an additive the consumer uses in the laundry as a second step adjuct product for clothing.
-Blocks 96% of the suns harmful rays
-Helps prevent sunburn
-Reduces risk of skin cancer
-For sensitive skin
On the packaging, we need to consumers to want to pick it up and understand why their cotton clothing is not protecting them and how this product can help. This product will have shelf space as a personal care product due to its price point. Its intended to be sold next to other sunscreens and not next to laundry detergent. Feel free to use words like Broad Spectrum.
Many consumers will not understand SPF and UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) so this will be a challenge to communicate. Spectrum Sun Wash is added to the laundry in one washing and one application will last in the clothing for up to 20 washings.
