jassarP got their new product packaging by running a design contest:
Create an Innovative and Exclusive Sneaker Box Design

Art & Design
Other color requirements
Should demonstrate exclusivity, luxury, but also include a powerful masculine character.
Description of the product
We customise over 600 different types of sneakers. We would like to have an innovative shoe box design so that it invites to "unbox". Because of the high price, there has to be a sense of exclusivity to the packaging design. We envisage the use of black, white and gold as main colours, but are open for any other colour patterns.
Description of the product target audience
Anyone who can afford a custom sneaker (£450+). Because we are a start-up, we don't have customer data yet, but we expect customers to be: - Age: children, adolescents and young adults up to 30 yrs - Gender: Mainly male. For this reason, the design should attract mainly men, but should be acceptable for female customers as well - Location: Western Europe and US. Possibly China or Japan as well - Income level: high enough to afford at least £450 for a custom shoe
Design a shoe box.
What to avoid
Avoid generic designs like placing logo on standard shoe box. Anyone can do that with photo-shop.
Designers are free to choose their own dimensions for the shoe box.
