I am a professional speaker and Relationships Specialist who helps teams perform at their very best. My work focuses on 3 main areas: Team Relationships, Staff Resiliency, and Working Well with Very Difficult Clients
What's your vision?
I am after a two-page A4 sized flyer promoting my speaking services to decision-makers in medium to large sized businesses, government departments and community organisations. The current flyer I use was designed in Word, but saved as a PDF. It does not need to be in Word again, but certainly I need to be able to adjust the written content myself. The flyer once produced will be primarily a downloadable document and will need to download relatively quickly. I am imagining a front page that quickly get's people's attention. I would like my contact details on both pages. I am partial to white as a background, but would not want you to be limited by this. I have attached a number of images - two versions of my logo (which do not need to dominate the flyer and you do not need to use both), images for each of the 5 most popular programs, and others that you may find some use for (it is up to you whether you use them or not - you may think of something better). Feel free to use other images if you wish. I do have low-resolution version of these images if needed to speed up download of the flyer. The content below does not need to go in a particular order, though I am imagining the most popular topics and other topics on the second page. If you go to my website at www.positivepeoplesolutions.com.au you can get a better sense of what I do. You will see that some of the colours I use are orange and blue, but you do not need to be constrained by this. Once the design is close to finalising, I would like to be able to insert hyperlinks in the images and names for each of the programs mentioned which people can click to take them through to the relevant web page. Here is the content and thank you for your creative energy and work. Ken Warren Headline: Bring Out the Very Best in Your Team! It is without doubt the best training we have undertaken in our 20 years of operation. All staff came away enthused and with a new passion for their work. I would recommend the training Ken provides without reservation. It was all we had hoped for and more." Garry Davison, General Manager, Jobmatch Employment Agency, Gympie “The information gained through Ken’s presentation on teamwork has been priceless. I am now more aware of the keys to strengthening my team and am already seeing the results just 1 week down the track.” Cherrine Jocumsen, Mackay Regional Director, Queensland Department of Corrective Services “Thanks Ken for running great PD for my Admin Team. It achieved just the outcomes I was wanting: a positive and fun day that was good for their morale, but also better equipped them to deal well with challenges that can arise with parents and staff.” Chris Greig, Business Manager, Balwyn High School, Melbourne Ken's Most Popular Topics Bring Out the Best in Your Team (images supplied for these 5 programs) One of the interesting things about great teams is that they are always looking for ways to improve. If you want to help your team perform at their very best, you will love this program for managers, those aspiring to leadership roles, and team members of all levels. Here is how you and your team will benefit: shared norms and values with more of the attitudes you love to see; stronger, more positive and respectful workplace relationships; greater cooperation with change, with staff pulling in the same direction; higher levels of mutual trust with greater openness and honesty at work; better appreciation by team members of the impact of their performance on others; and goals achieved by staff knowing what to do (and not do) to achieve success. Positive Solutions for Difficult People at Work Given the different personalities in teams and the pressures people are under, it should be no surprise that difficulties arise from time to time - people getting offended unnecessarily, avoiding each other and gossiping, or conversations being handled poorly. When left unaddressed, minor issues can quickly build into major concerns - decreased morale and productivity or increased sick leave and staff turnover. Then there is the time you waste dealing with the problems. If you want your people to better fit in with each other, deal well with challenges as they arise, and have stronger, more positive relationships at work, you will love this program which can be customised for those in leadership roles, team members, or a combined audience. Enhance Your Resiliency and Improve Your Well-being Is your team dealing with constant change, high workloads, or demanding clients? Do you want to be proactive in taking excellent care of your people? Would you like to maintain their morale and productivity or take it to the next level? If so, you will appreciate this program based on the latest research which will help your people to take even better care of themselves and contribute positively to the morale of their colleagues. In this positive and interactive program, your people will learn how to become more resilient and be less affected by stressors at home and work, cultivate positive attitudes to workplace challenges, set appropriate boundaries with the demands of their work, and recharge their emotional batteries so they have something to give. Defusing Explosive Situations: Responding Well to Demanding Behaviour Do your staff sometimes work with rude, demanding, or aggressive behaviour from their customers, co-workers or clients? Do you want to support them in responding in a confident and positive way? In this fun and practical presentation, your people will learn how to minimise the likelihood of difficulties occurring, defuse the frustration or anger of others in three easy steps, preserve their personal safety in high-risk situations, respond confidently to people making unreasonable demands, and achieve good outcomes while preserving important relationships. Engaging and Motivating Difficult Clients Does your team work with mandated or unmotivated clients? Do some of their clients struggle with seeing the need for change and doing their part to help themselves? Do you want to support your staff in feeling more confident and producing better outcomes from their work? If so, you will appreciate this program based on the latest research and Ken's 28 years experience. Your people will learn how to engage well with mandated and unmotivated clients, boost people's motivation and ability to move forward, take advantage of the 5 reasons people change, identify client strengths and apply them successfully to the problem situation, and significantly improve outcomes with only minor outcomes to their approach. Just to clarify - the deadline I refer to below is Australian Eastern Standard Time (Brisbane). I would like an eye catching image on the front page of a happy team with the headline nearby: Bring Out the Very Best in Your Team! An image I like I have just uploaded below is called TeamHappy. But do feel free to use others, particular images comprising mainly women as well as men of varying ages. I will be selecting finalists after 3pm on Monday 5th March Australian Eastern Standard Time (Brisbane), in case people wish to resubmit their designs based on the feedback given. and also my comments above. Many thanks for your work so far. Ken Warren
