CEI Software, http://www.ceisoftware.com/products/ensight/
We are CEI Software. We are a 20 person software company based in Apex, NC near Raleigh. We are not design experts. We are engineers and software developers. So we are nerds who need aesthetic help. We like Apple and its clean designs. Our software works on Mac, Linux, and Windows computers, running on laptops up to supercomputers. Our website is: http://www.ceisoftware.com our old website is http://www.ensight.com. This brochure is for EnSight as a product family. Competitors include Tecplot, http://www.tecplot.com and Fieldview, http://www.ilight.com and ANSYS, http://www.ansys.com, and Acusim, http://www.acusim.com.
Our software, EnSight, is well-known in its niche market for being very powerful, having the best graphics quality, having Python scripting language, and being very interactive (right-click on things, drag-and-drop, parts highlighting as your mouse moves over them, etc.) the ability to handle huge datasets, and the ability to run in batch, for example on hundreds of jobs at once.
We have an on-going need for more graphics, design, logo, work this is just our first test of outsourcing to 99 designs - looking for new creative talent we can tap into and use. There will be more projects coming.
Our existing brochure was developed by a designer in Japan, we've translated the text to English. And now we want it to improve it again from an aesthetic point of view.
We make visualization and post-processing (calculations) software for engineers and scientists. Mostly mechanical, aerospace engineers. Typical use of our software is for aerodynamics, improved combustion process, improved safety of vehicles, or improved understanding of complex fluid flows.
The brochure will be used around the world. We have distributors in France, Turkey, South Africa, Brazil, Australia, Italy, etc. We have just opened our own offices internationally in Munich, Germany, Tokyo, Japan, Shanghai, China, and soon in Pune, India. The international aspect is something we have not emphasized yet in our current brochure. We'd like the brochure to work in all those locations, but we can do the text translation to the non-English languages. So a good english brochure is fine. The international aspect is something we should enhance in this design, since we can now support our customers more directly around the world.
Our current brochure, you can download from here:
(The 99design website could not handle the large file).
A pdf of the document is here in the 99design attached files area. We want to get back an improved design which uses the same number of pages (4).
The brochure is in Pages format from iWork on the Mac. That's what we want to get back, because we've used CS4 before and its not productive for us to maintain a brochure in that toolset. Its great if you like CS4 or some other tool, but this job we need in Pages format.
We have also included a flow_chart_v1.pdf file. This pdf shows how our software works in the engineer's work flow. Ideally this would also be incorporated into the brochure, so that it would be clear what the software does for a prospective customer. Obviously the design of the flowchart is flexible, this is just our draft.
