We are doing a huge marketing campaign in a national UK newspaper with the goal of increasing our profile, generate awareness and raise money to help get children off the streets and into schools. We would like you to help us create an A5 leaflet so 4 sides (and later an ad page for a magazine and online ad).
Could you please design a leaflet that would make someone read it, grab their attention, create empathy and make they want to do something. We aim to have a gender balance in the schools we build (50:50 ratio). You can be creative and come up with your own taglines, pictures, layout etc. This is the first time we are doing this and it is a huge investment so it's crucial we get this right.
Our suggestion is to do the following (however if you feel this does not work then please feel free to change)
A negative striking/ effective picture which will pull on the heart strings (see attached for ideas)
Examples of taglines:
"An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest" [Benjamin Franklin]
“Educate street kids – change lives forever”
“Empowering street kids though education”
To include positive pictures to show a contrast as opposed to the front cover after the below 4 main points as these are negative points (see attached for ideas)
- 25,000,000 Pakistani children do not attend school
- 30% of Pakistanis have less than 2 years of education
- 2 in 3 rural women have never attended school
- Only 36% of Pakistani state schools are in satisfactory condition
Friends of The Citizens Foundation (FTCF) believes it is every child’s right, not a privilege, to receive an education. Education opens minds and worlds, creating endless possibilities. FTCF is a UK registered charity that raises funds and awareness for The Citizens Foundation (TCF) in Pakistan. TCF build and support purpose-built schools across Pakistan especially in the most deprived regions where often people have never set foot in a school.
What We Have Achieved:
- 730 schools across Pakistan
- 550 primary & 180 secondary
- 102,000 students currently enrolled
- Approximately 50% of our students are girls
- 8,000 jobs created incl. over 5,400 jobs for women
Moomal and Ishwa Bhogio moved to an urban slum in Karachi at a young age due to financial hardship. With their parents support they excelled at TCF and have now made the TCF Family proud by gaining admission at the Liaquat Medical College. Ishwa has decided to become a GP whilst her sister focuses on her passion of becoming a vet. Moomal boasts, “My teachers and the school environment at TCF have helped me believe in myself and dream big!”
