please find our visualization of a research concept which will be used as a figure in a review article and also for presentations. in this graphical abstract we explain the relevance of determining subtypes of diabetes, which is a very heterogenous disease. underlying mechanisms (terms are in blue thunderclouds) are hanging above the small yet healthy plant (healthy adolescent) young tree (humans at risk to develop diabetes) affected tree (humans with diabetes perhaps this one should already have some yellow leaves) then those with complications (leaves are falling down already) and after the point of no return you see a dead tree perhaps here the lightning sets the tree on fire? a rainbow reaches from the research clusters defining subtypes of diabetes to taylored treatment concepts which is acting like an umbrella or roof protecting from progression of the disease (or perhaps you could also visualize that remission is possible to the left) sun rays are positive effects that nurish the tree please find our first draft, it would be great if you could professionalize it for us, in order to use it also in german language and in animations we appreciate to have the final version in a way that we can exchange the text within the figure please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, hope you find this call interesting and you have some fun! best wishes Julia
