FavaTeaCompany got their new other graphic design by running a design contest:
Help Fava "Rock Your Tea" with Text Graphic
Check out FavaTeaCompany's Other Graphic Design contest…
We are a retailer of loose leaf tea and focus on creating a wow experience at every touch point. We have a website at www.FavaTea.com and you can see reviews of Fava at www.yelp.com and www.teamap.com (we are in Appleton, Wisconsin). Our target audience: Loose leaf tea drinkers - tend to be women - tend to be 30+ - tend to be educated - tend to NOT be coffee drinkers - tend to be conserned with environmental issues (organic)
What's your vision?
GENERAL A text graphic for our new product line "Rock Your Tea". "Rock Your Tea" is a line of natural and full flavored rock sugar that is put into a brewed cup of tea. The graphic should focus on the text "Rock Your Tea" as it will be used as the primary Point of Purchase graphic for the shelf area for the product line. The "Rock Your Tea" text should be encircled/encapsolated in the graphic. Please do not have the text hanging or placed by a graphic element. We want it feeling like one unit. We are open to any shape, graphic element, line art, illustration, image, or pattern around the text. It has to feel like it is not a disconnect from Tea, though. Also remember that it has to be easy to read quickly, as it is what we are going to use for the shelf area signage. One idea (only one) is to have a rough outline around "Rock Your Tea" that follows the curves of the letters (in a wide path, not like a shaddow effect). Something inspired by Schoolhouse Rock! would be interesting. We want something that is classy, modern, simple while getting the key copy points clearly communicated quickly. If it screams 'tea' or 'tea culture' even better! The graphic should use our corp fonts of Andy or Tempus, but a font that is close would be considered. I would also like to see options using this kind of font, but with more thickness/weight to it as sometimes it is soo thin it is hard to read. Please see below for our corp colors and colors to stay away from. We do want color incorporated (no b/w). I would like to reinforce that we are a fun environment (not silly or childish) and foster an environment of exploring. We like modern looking (clean, not over complicated), but not too stylized or over the top fancy. We are not the 'girly' or 'English' style of tea-- so we want to stay away from teapots, lace, etc. We are also not a tea house (no finger sandwiches) or cafe (we focus on selling the leaf, not the brewed tea). MORE INFORMATION Font/Typeface: Tempus or Tempus Sans ITC is preferred. Copy in graphic: Corporate Colors PMS 343 (green) PMS 7499 (tan) Any earth tone would be considered, in addition to a dark red, purple, pink, gold, or green as well would be considered. No neon, no harsh. However, we do want this to stand out. Fun, clean, simple but still gets your attention is what we are going for on this project. High res file, just in case we want to put this on a large window or wall. A little about Fava Tea: Image and Values-- Empowerment of the individual 1:1 relationship with tea Second-to-none experience Approachable Leader, Educator Authentic, not pretentious Modern and Fun Great value (not cheap) The Experience-- Teas with Moxie… Is modern, fun, loving, with a sense of exploration (this is the new definition of tea)… The old days of “high tea” in a stuffy room, wearing a fancy dress or suit, and formal gloves is no longer the defining image of tea and the modern tea drinker (well at least at Fava). Why do we know this? We have put this out to pasture, say cheerio, to the old way of thinking about tea and welcome to Fava Tea Company. Where everyone is among friends, pretense is checked at the door, and it’s all about the exploration to find that ‘wow’ tea experience.
Please avoid traditional looking "girly", "English" or "Vicotorian" types of designs and designs that look to young (like for a teen). Fun, Exciting, Modern and incorporated as a unit. I am attaching pictures of the shelf area where the 'Rock Your Tea' sign/graphic would be (above the products) and a picture of one of the rock sugars. We will need the final graphic in Illustrator format and EPS format. Any additional formats are appreciated.
