ryan.casler12 got their new app design by running a design contest:
Create a intuitive material design application for canvassing door to door
Check out ryan.casler12's App design contest…
Door2Door is a mobile app for canvassing. Campaign managers can assign walk routes to volunteers and volunteers can then go into the app and walk that route. Volunteers can take notes on potential voters.
The app should utilize material design and elements from the Material Design Library (http://www.google.com/design/spec/material-design/introduction.html). Red and blue should be avoided due to stay neutral and avoid political party affiliations.
The 3 screens to be designed will be Campaign selection, list of voters to talk to, and Voter notes. All are described in detail below. After a user logs in, they will see a list of campaigns that they are part of. Each list item of the campaign will have the name of the campaign, a feature graphic and the number of doors that person has left to canvass. Once a user picks which campaign they want to work on they will go to a screen with 2 tabs. One tab will be a map view and the other tab will be a list of the people the user has to talk to. The list items will contain a name, and address, gender, and a color to distinguish if the person was talked to or not. Every item in the list is clickable. When a list item from the list of people is selected, a new screen will open. this screen will display the persons name, address, gender, and political affiliation. Below these details there will be a section for 6 different notes. 1) An area to indicate if the person was home or not. 2) An area to rate the interaction on a scale from 1-5. 3) An area to indicate if the person wants a yard sign or not, preferably as a check box or switch. 4) An area to indicate if there should be follow up or not. 5) An area for any miscellaneous notes which will be a text box. 6) An area to indicate if literature was left or not.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. App design starts at NOK 5,299.
