malik.faraz.80 got their new app design by running a design contest:
App for quran speech recignition
Check out malik.faraz.80's App design contest…
This app is able to recognize recitations of the Quran and pinpoint which verse is recited.
Our app is very similar to what shazam but for a different category. So we feel something similar is the way to go. This specific redesign of their app was something that caught our eye: http://www.woutervdkamp.nl/shazamredesign.html In addition the color themes should go along with our logo.
The general workflow flows down this list of descriptions per screen. This app is generally like the shazam app for music recognition but it recognizes verses of the Quran from someone’s recitations. The app should look similar to the shazam app. We really liked this redesign someone did. http://www.woutervdkamp.nl/shazamredesign.html Screen 1: Initial sign in/sign up - if the user isn't already signed in present a signin/singup screen asking to sign in/sign up with their facebook or gmail account. *Those are the only 2 ways of signing in/signing up. Screen 2: Home Page – There should be a menu bar (either on the top or on the side, we leave that up to you) with three main tabs: Home, My Quran, and Settings. Our logo should in the middle, and animation when some clicks it should appear. Something very very similar to what is in the link above (also with the x on top to stop the recognition) It should also say, “Click to recognize” and “Hold for prayer mode”. Screen 3: My Quran Page – This page has the users pic and their name. (If you wanted to do a side menu and have the person picture and name there that is fine as well.) There should also be a list of the verses that were tagged with date and time. (This is similar to the tags portion is shazam) An example of one tag would have the following info: a. Name of chapter/surah Ex. Al-Maidah b. Verse numbers Ex. Verses 87-96 c. Verse in Arabic Ex. Translation in English Ex. O believers, forbid not such good things as Allāh has permitted you; and transgress not; Allāh loves not transgressors… e. Date with time of recognition Screen 4: Screen after tag is clicked or screen after verses is recognized: This one we will leave the creativity up to you. The required parts are all the same requirements as I mentioned in the tags, except for the date and time. There needs to be features that allow them to: a. Button to share b. Button to delelte c. Button/box/tab that links to youtube with the result to the surah name, so in this case Surah Al-Maidah. d. Button/box/tab that says summary of Surah Al-Maidah and will lead user to a pop up screen where the summary of the Surah is written. e. Button/box/tab that link to a Quran where the person can read the verses. Screen 5: Settings: A list of requirements: phrases in all caps should be above the lower case phrases under the same line a. TAG TO QUR’AN integrate to Qu’ran App b. VIBRATE set to vibrate when recognition is complete c. MASJID MODE silences phone when entering a masjid d. DELETE ALL TAGS e. REMINDERS set reminders to help you fast on voluntary days f. UPGRADE g. ABOUT EXTRA INFO: The color theme should be of the logo, adding black as the background would be nice but white also works. Be creative, I always love seeing new things I never thought of. Use Shazam as a basis if lost or the link I posted above.
