Wed Bliss & Beyond
When I got married, I was told there was no way I could do it on the budget I had but I proved everyone wrong and created a fairytale wedding for a fraction of what they said it would cost me. What started out as just giving advice, has now turned into my passion for helping other women avoid the pitfalls of the wedding industry and create their dream wedding on a budget.
The average American wedding costs nearly $30,000 but every survey I have done confirms that the average couple only has a wedding budget of between $5,000-$10,000. My goal is to provide guidance and creative solutions for couples on limited budgets so that they can still have the wedding of their dreams without starting their lives off together in debt.
- Keep in mind, we target both women and men so nothing "uber" girly. (Not hot pink and super cutsie, with hearts dotting the "i"s)
- Nothing too pretentious - Our target audience needs to feel that they can afford us, that we are a familiar brand. We do not want to come across as being out of their price range, but we also want to avoid looking cheap. Remember, it's still about that dream wedding...
- Think more "love" and less "wedding bling". While our focus right now is weddings, our goal is to help couples beyond just their wedding day so we don't want to limit ourselves by having a logo with a big wedding cake or diamond ring on it.
- Words that come to mind... simple, clean, not too busy, classy but still a little playful and creative or "out of the box" (but nothing over the top), contemporary yet still warm and inviting.
Here are a few things to think about...
FONT:
Our name, "Wed Bliss and Beyond" is sort of a take off of "Bed Bath and Beyond" so without overtly copying their logo, we would like there to be something familiar about our logo which reminds them of the Bed Bath and Beyond typeface.

Clean, bold, simple, stands out, but not too "corporate" feeling.

Please feel free to experiment with colors! (Don't feel boxed in by the traditional "wedding" or "girl" or "romantic" colors.)
