How Rogue started their logo design journey
We need a fresh and unique logo for a suite of DIY Travel Guides. The logo needs to coveys a holiday feel, without jeopardising quality and professionalism.
The challenge is to create a design that is reasonably simply but which may become easily recognisable.
DIY Travel Guides
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
DIY Travel Guides is a collection of travel guides and related business interests. Each guide targets one country and they are designed to assist travellers to plan and organise their trips from start to finish. They are regularly updated guides of where to find the best (predominantly internet-based) deals and resources for planning holidays, and they walk readers through the process, step-by-step. The logo will appear on the front cover of the guides themselves, as well as on our website, promotional materials and any other related items or products.
The logo needs to convey a sort of fun-loving persona, capturing a holiday spirit, while still maintaining a professional look.
The guides we publish are for many different countries, so the logo will need to have strong branding qualities. Therefore, the logo should incorporate a small to medium sized, easily recognisable symbol - essentially a mark of consistency among our products.
The contest holder reserves the right to vary the winning design as they see fit.
- "Holiday" styled but professional design
- Design should include a small to medium sized, easily recognisable symbol
- One logo on transparent background and one on black
- The design to be in vector format
- Nothing too 'busy' or complex
- Not too many competing colours
