Kuppong is a Scandinavian coupon website, similar to Groupon in the USA. The word "Kupp" means a coup, which is used locally to mean a great deal; "kupong" is Norwegian/Swedish for "coupon". Mix the two, and you have Kuppong.
We are targeting both consumers and businesses. Consumers buy our coupons, but businesses provide them... we're the middlemen.
We are Nordic/Scandinavian, and perhaps our logo should represent that. Be creative with this! Ideally, the logo could work in Norway, Denmark and Sweden, with minimal or no changes.
The biggest websites in the region are: finn.no, vg.no, 1881.no, gulesider.no, eniro.se. I think Nordic logos have a distinct feel to them, and we want to fit right in.

I really like the idea of hidden meaning in a logo. This is a way of having simplicity but with style.
Also, check out this logo, perhaps the best we've ever seen: http://i.imgur.com/o5bxl.jpg
Our logo (YOUR design) will be on our website, but will also be printed on our coupons and on signs all around town. Simplicity will make it easier to print, so perhaps a simpler color scheme would be best. However, please feel free to experiment with colors!
We will have many TLDs, including .com, .no, .dk and .se. The logo should have the domain name in it, but hopefully it could easily be switched to .com/.no/.se without much issue.
Some people have commented that we are simply mis-spelling "kupong", so it would be great to have the "kupp" in "kupp" highlighted in some way.
We may have a tagline of: "Gjør en kupp med kuppong" (Do a coup with coupon). We don't have to have it... and in fact it may be better to have a logo with and without the tagline.
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
