Dead Girls Guide (http://www.deadgirlsguide.com)
I am a former corporate CIO who was given a new shot at life. On my 42nd birthday, 2/17/09, I experienced a massive brain hemorrhage that left me clinically dead three times. I was given the opportunity to come back, but only if I promised I would use the spiritual gifts that were given to me at birth, and if I promised that I would teach others how to maximize their gifts too. So, I am starting a seminar and coaching business to do just that!
I am starting from scratch; however, I have a major radio appearance that airs on Sunday, March 28, and I have a Wordpress site that frankly looks like crap right now. I need your creative design talent to hi-light my new business!
My mission is to blend capitalism with spirituality, so while I do want my identity to appeal to the "New Age" crowd, I want it to appeal more so to the corporate crowd, as I was told on the other side that they are in more need of hope, inspiration, and direction. Go figure.
This will be the first step in quickly re-designing the WordPress website, so if you do both (i.e. identity creation and site design), consider this assignment as your paid chance to interview for more work!
I think you can see by my website name, that I have a bit of an ironic/alternative sense of humor, so anything you can do to subtly play that up would be interesting to see.
My target audience is a blend of both spiritually conscious (NOT RELIGIOUS) individuals, and those searching to understand better their life's purpose. Because of my death experience, I have the ability to work with both spirit people (spirits still in the human body), spirits who have crossed over, and the Angelic realm to help individuals move from despair to determination. I am NOT seeking pansies who want entertainment value, eventhough, for legal reasons, I must state that sort of disclaimer on my site.
My perfect client list is going to hold thousands of people ages 30-60 - people who have experienced enough of life to understand that they've gone off course somehow, and need some help getting back to their true purpose.
I am looking for the use of green (emerald with gold flake undertone) and purple as the theme colors of my site, so keeping that in mind will go a long way toward a successful outcome. The green is hard to explain, as it is a color I was surrounded with on the other side - it is sort of the color from the Wizard of Oz, with gold that seems to penetrate through the green. The purple was a darker purple, much like what is on the site today.
I am also including two pictures of me and I would like to see any thoughts you have on creating an identity similar to Brendon Burchard (http://www.brendonburchard.com) or (http://www.expertsacademy.com).
Dead Girls Guide is the brand, and I am the face behind the brand. I am looking to be able to incorporate this brand into business cards, e-book covers, CD/DVD covers, and my Wordpress website, so be thinking in terms of scalability when you create your designs!
