We are a start-up company based in Singapore inspired by the principles of fair trade and sustainable agriculture. We have very lean operations with full-time staff of one and a number of advisors all providing services pro-bono. Social enterprise captures the spirit of what we are trying to do.
We intend to offer supermarket chains standard and premium vegetables. Our premium range will consist initially of chemical and pesticide-free vegetables. Our ultimate aim is to go organic.
We're working with a group of farmers who are based in the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia. They come from a disadvantaged ethnic group and are currently being short-changed by the middle-man. See this link for images of the Cameron Highlands: http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=e…ages&gbv=2
We are helping the farmers end-to-end. We are paying for someone to help increase their productivity and knowledge of farming techniques, package their vegetables as well as market and sell in overseas supermarkets. We also offer them fixed prices so they have greater certainty over their income and can invest on their farms.
We will mainly be selling leafy Chinese greens (e.g. kailan, pak choy and chye sim) as well as tomatoes and french beans in Singaporean supermarkets. See this link for an image of kailan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kai-lan

Our corporate logo will be on business cards and stationery.
These will mainly be going out to our clients (leading supermarkets in Singapore), food regulators as well as to the media.
We want to use up to 4 colours which will include black and white.
We want the logo to be distinctive to convey a sense of 1. wholesomeness and 2. directness i.e. bypassing the middleman.
Vivid colours are ok. Clean lines and font would be appreciated.
Either looking for:
- Text with simple design e.g. leaves; or
- A thematic logo e.g. a farm with a wheelbarrow piled up with farm produce e.g. leafy veg. A brush stroke impression would be interesting.
The image should not be clip art or stock images. Not keen on cartoons but quirky is good.
Business cards are going to be printed on cream or white card. Please bear this in mind when designing the logo.
I give regular feedback and creativity is strongly encouraged.
