Sultan - a division of Basecamp Business
Sultan is Basecamp Business' new internal web application (screenshot attached) that out-sources our data entry work to Amazon's Mechanical Turk (http://www.mturk.com). The name Sultan was chosen based on the historic meaning that Sultans ruled Turks and that workers in Mechanical Turk call themselves 'turkers'. Workers from around the world work on our tasks and see our brand.
This tool will be used mostly for internal processes, except when our workers from Mechanical Turk are using it. So the 'target audience' would be those workers. We would like the logo to be easily identifiable to these workers.
We want a small logo to place in the top left hand corner of the current site (screenshot attached). We are open to all interpretations of the word "Sultan". We currently are thinking along the lines of something soft, fun, and cartoony. We want the logo to match the current colors of the site which are:
dark blue (top header) - #003D4C
light blue (navigation background) - #6693A2
light green (page title) - #999933
The logo doesn't have to use these colors as long as it doesn't clash with any of them. The logo would fit in the header of the site with the dark blue as the background. The current header is only 40px tall - this can be increased, but ideally 100px would be the maximum.
The chosen designer would be required to deliver the Photoshop file (or GIMP file) and a high resolution png copy.
