This month, Mashable became the “Social Media Guide.”To celebrate the launch of our new website and branding (but mainlybecause we thought it’d be fun), we’d like the design community to takeour logo and new tagline…and Mash them up!We’ve partnered with 99designs, a venue for “crowdsourced” designs, to host the Remix Mashable Design Contest,giving you free reign to Mash, mix and remake our logo and tagline intoanything you please. Throw in some grungy fonts, or go high class andmodern. Add pop culture references, or re-imagine Mashable as abreakfast cereal, a detergent brand, or a death metal tribute band. Our brand is yours for the Mashing; the only requirement is that you base your design around the phrase “Mashable: The Social Media Guide”.
Submissions will be open from March 10th until March 24th.After the submissions are closed, we’ll select 15 winners who will eachreceive $150. Each winning design will then be showcased in our Zazzle apparel store. We’ll be announcing the winners on March 31st, 2009.
