nynws got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Recreational Marijuana Manufacturer and Packaging company
Check out nynws's Logo design contest…
We are a grow/cultivation/manufacturer and packaging company for recreational marijuana for Washington State.
Logo types to explore
We like a group called FireBros and we don't know why! I think it is because they have a simple logo and a high end video of their operation that was really well done. We plan on doing something similar when our facility is built out. If you have a chance, check out the FireBros video. http://vimeo.com/70534757 We also have a patent pending package for weed. It is a mechanism that suspends a bud/flower in the middle of a jar so it is truly an untouched bud. This will only be used for the high end tips, and will be expensive. However, we will also have baggies, jars, boxed and sealed plastic containers. So it will be a whole product line. 1. Suspended - how you feel after a nice joint 2. Suspended - What you want time to be when life is too crazy 3. Suspended - Out of body experience - taking something/someone out of forced routine 4. Suspended - hanging from the sky....sky high! Who are you? What do you do?: We are two pairs of lifelong friends and brothers with an eye for quality. As one of the largest recreational marijuana growing operators in Washington state, our state of the art facility was built from the ground up to provide Northwest residents with the highest quality cannabis products available. Our CC - Cultivation Committee has decades of growing expertise. What are your desired results? How would you like to be perceived? We want our client base to know when they work with us, they will get more than they expect. Quality and client relations will always be paramount at Suspended. Our product and brand will represent us in the marketplace and we expect to be perceived as someone you want to buy from, work with, and be like. Competition: Who would your primary competition be? Our competition will be other producers and processors of marijuana products. They will be smaller “micro-growers” (hundreds) to larger Tier 3 operators the same size as us (less than 50). We will need to stand out on the shelf at the retail store. Marketing Materials: What methods would you use? There are strict regulations with regard to marketing. We will market to the public on our website. There will be a “members only” section where we can market specific products to qualified buyers. We would have some direct marketing to retail store product buyers and edible and infused product processors. Those would be direct marketing materials. Having some viral type opportunity can only help as long as we don’t break the law. Cannot be cartoonish that would appeal to kids. That is strictly prohibited. Our packaging will be our main form of marketing. Impulse purchases and “our’s vs the rest” will be important. Standing out on the shelf. What are your objectives? Where do you want to go? Our objective is to come out of the gate strong and be recognized as a large, solid, and stable brand with fresh ideas to an age old product. We may eventually have spin-off products we offer nationally if we can gain that type of recognition. What is your target market? Who is your audience demographic? Our target is Washington State residents from 21 years old to 150 years old. Success criteria? Define how you will judge a successful project. A successful product will be when someone looks at our product package, design, and product and say “WOW!”. Something they will drive to the store or save money to buy. They can get the same strain from 20 other growers, but we want them to recognize us and buy ours. Design criteria? What do you want this project to say about you? This project will be a launch pad for us. It should help define who we are and what we do. The goal is to create a foundation to build on for years to come. Keywords: What keywords best describe your company? CREATIVE; quality; natural; love; care; experienced; superior; fun; solid; stable; Classic; Extra Thoughts: Think post prohibition. Brands that are still around today because they had class. There are a limited number of competitors, but we still want to be at the top. Post prohibition with a twist of modern class. This is an age old industry that has been underground and way under promoted. This is our opportunity to take something that people love and package it in the way that they wish it always was.
