I'm a personal trainer who's starting a business dedicated to providing personal and corporate fitness training and education. The website which the logo will go on is a health information page more so than a personal advertising tool.
The truth is that our bodies didn't evolve over the last 10,000 years to exist in our current fake world of air conditioning, chairs, and instant everything. It's not our fault we're fat. Everything in our genetics screams "Watch out! There's a huge famine coming up next week. You need that cheeseburger to survive!"
In fact, all of our current health problems have really easy solutions (such as picking up a big weight and putting it down or eating sweet potatoes and blueberries instead of rice and spaghetti). The problem is that the food industry has a place in the government's ear (this place is close to their pocket...) and hence the knowledge I'm passing along isn't as common as it should be.
I'm taking steps to ensure that this website become common knowledge, and once it does many Americans will have a better idea why they're fat (aside from lack of discipline), and what they can do it overcome it that doesn't involve looking like Nicole Richie.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I have two intended audiences: 30-50 year old middle and upper class business people (will be marketing my training services and boot camps to corporations as employee perk), and college students.
The middle age business people are not well-versed with current health information, and certainly not always up to date with scientific advancements. They have very little time, prefer a sense of humor that doesn't embarrass them in front of their colleges, and traditional, middle class and/or upper class values.
The college students come from a middle class or poor background and tend to major in the sciences. They have a small-town mentality but are branching out.
Needs to be in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
In the health industry, bold colors such as black and scarlet are common. I'd like to compete with the boldness without using any form of red.
However, I love the fading and shadowing effects, when applied in a professional looking manner
have an icon-thingy like starbucks has beside it
this design might be something such as an animal, an ancient tribesman, or something that screams (image-wise) "I will rise above this quarter-pounder and make my ancestors proud".
Have any variation of the color red in it
Have an edgy font.
