Carisa Chee Photography - http://www.carisachee.com
I'm a photographer in NC. I'm a dog person and bird watcher, as well as a hiker. I love being outside and active, and my idea of a great day involves snow skiing or hang gliding. I have a pretty dry sense of humor. I'm upbeat, loud, and usually smiling, and I want that personality to come across in my new logo.
My studio specializes in weddings, and boudoir and newborn portraits. My clients have a lot of fun with me, and often get very attached to what I do for them. Our main focus is creating amazing images while giving our clients incredible customer service. My clients know that they're important to me.
My usual clients are women in their early twenties to early thirties and their partners. They're usually very laid back and fun. They're also very fashionable and aware of trends. However, it's often mom and dad who are paying the bills, and my brand needs to appeal to this generation, as well. My clients are often well-to-do, not even blinking at spending $5000 for wedding photography. They'll come back to me again and again over their lifetimes for portrait sessions.
I love peeling paint, old barn wood, exposed brick, old hardwood floors, sun flare, graffiti. I want my logo to feel organic, not in any way industrial or corporate. I love the colors of my current logo, which are blues and greens, but I'm open to other ideas. I want something fun and playful. I would also be more apt to choose a logo that had a secondary logo within it - something that I could use as a symbol of my studio and as a favicon, but this isn't a requirement.
I absolutely do not want the following in my logo: butterfly, zapfino font, papyrus font, film edges or a camera - things that are just so literal they're ridiculous.
I like quirky little things, like Boutwell Studio (http://www.boutwellstudio.com/), that has a little blue bird that hops around the site saying random things; but I want something that's all my own, not a copy of what someone else is doing. I like abstract symbols and shapes that mimc shapes and things in nature.
