Nutmeg Project - ‘Improving the quality of life of people living with dementia’
‘Nutmeg Project’ is a new company and service launching for the first time in the South of London to provide activities and for people living with dementia whilst simultaneously offering respite and support to their carers.
The goal of the ‘Nutmeg Project’ is to offer activities to this group that intend to stimulate the individuals living with dementia at the same time as offering support to the carers. Initial services are a ‘tea dance’, massage therapy and group support.
This is a social enterprise venture that is providing a service where currently none exist, registered as a private limited company. The project aims to attract funding from charitable sources.

The logo will be prominent on the web and in print format, targeting those with dementia and their carers. Some locations for this will advertising will consist of Doctors surgeries, Chemists, Pharmacies and Local hospitals.
The image of a nutmeg can look remarkably like a brain and because of the connection with dementia there is an interesting opportunity to use this imagery. It is important that this design does not become too clinical or medical as this is much more a project about providing support and care from a psychological perspective - not medical assistance.
Any use of nutmeg imagery must be delivered in a very subtle way. Our client likes the idea of interlocking circles or other imagery that can represent the support nature of this project. The logo must be both professional to appeal to the various legislatory and professional bodies whilst at the same time being friendly so to appeal to the sufferers of dementia and their carers.
The template attached has been chosen by the client for the new website and as such, the dominant green colour(s) should be used if possible and the colours and style chosen should compliment this design.
