Map Kibera, a Kenyan tech nonprofit, needs a new logo!
Erica.hagen needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 116 designs submitted by 21 freelance designers.

Who are you known as?
Map Kibera
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We work with young people (age 18-35) primarily in the slum areas of Nairobi, Kenya. Members map their neighborhoods using open digital mapping technology (OpenStreetMap.org), and train in citizen journalism including blogging and online video news. All of our work is online and openly available. We also engage with community members directly and serve as advocates. The aim is to empower slum residents to influence local development and have a greater say and representation via digital media and geographic data.

These are some of our websites, showing a variety of styles, and logos we've been using. We hope that the new logo can be used on all of them to unify (though it need not "match". KNN and Voice of Kibera are programs of Map Kibera Trust. We have also launched programs in other locations like Mathare which are part of the larger organization.
