How Jack Mclovin started their logo design journey
Professional Busiessman, Director of Sales for a 10,000,000+ company in the motorcycle industry, I have been riding Motorcycles since I was 12, I love the sport and want to help others find the joy riding a bike that they have customized themselves to match there own unique personality.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Basically the 30's and up market, the guy that owns a Harley and likes to spend money on it (which is most of us) This will be a Motorcycle Parts Club, focus is on the Harley or V-Twin owner.
They would fit in the the median income bracket of 60,000 a year and up.
The Logo needs to convey the idea of the chrome /leather/ image of a Harley or a V-Twin motorcycle, that BAD ASSED attitude all rolled into the logo. Basically the same idea as the hard look of FIGHT CLUB, but applied to the motorcycle.
1. No Cartoons - we want it to be playful but not cheap or childlike
2. Nothing too elegant - we do not want to come across as being fancy.
3. The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. We want something that stands out. Again being careful not to be too fancy.
REMEMBER we are dealing with BIKERS that are upscale but still want to be seen as bad assed.
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
