legalsource.net is a new company that will provide (1) automated legal document assembly on the internet; and (2) a wealth of legal research tools (access to the laws of all 50 all fifty states, the internal revenue code, federal tax forms, lawyer directory, etc.).
The power of the legalsource.net is its unique document automation engine. Our users will go through an "interview" that will assemble state-specific legal documents. At the end of the interview the engine will immediately deliver the documents to the user's desktop by email or download. The documents will be "clean", meaning no further formatting is required.
The goal of the company is to provide open access to legal documents and information, at no cost. We are using the open source software movement as a model for our site. We expect that legalsource.net will become the primary web source for legal documents and information.
Our target audiance if very broad. The primary users of the document automation engine will be U.S. residents looking for legal documents such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Promissory Notes, Leases, etc.
Also, professionals such as lawyers, financial planners, insurance agents and other will use our legal research tools as an alternative to avoid the costs of similar paid services.
Please feel free to be creative. We only have two requirements. The rest are not requirements, just thoughts. We will have future needs (after the logo) for favicons, iphone app logo, etc.
ONLY TWO REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Appropriate for display on a website (color) and in the footer of documents (likely black and while).
(2) Include the Name "legalsource.net" and a separate mark.
COLORS WE LIKE:
Dark Blue (Hex #0E3358 RGB 14,51,88) - Likely Font and Banner Color
Light Blue (Hex #CFE5FC RGB 207,229,252) - Likely Background Color
FONTS WE LIKE:
Cambria: - Used in documents assembled on our site
Verdana: - Used in website
Case: Prefer lower case ("legalsource.net") or title case ("LegalSource.net")
LOGO WE LIKE
gomatters.com (see attached): Simple, but would prefer more memorable.
LOGO WE DO NOT LIKE
legalzoom.com (see attached): Too literal with flying pages.
uslegalforms.com (see attached): Unprofessional looking (i.e., gold coloring and eagle).
Also, no gavels please.
We would like to emphasize the ".net" so our potential audience recognized that our domain is not ".com"
