Magic Hour Workshops got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New logo wanted for Magic Hour Workshops
Check out Magic Hour Workshops's Logo design contest…
We will be running on location classes and meetups-bootcamps and workshops for teaching basic, travel and location photography all over the world. Our target audience is modern and connected, most likely experienced in the Photography world, or are striving to be. We want to show our world as fresh, hip and laid-back. We would like our logo to harness the exciting feeling of travel and adventure. We’re in it for the fun. We’re in it for the travel. We’re in it for the experience. We’re in it for the memories. We’re in it to shoot photos. We’re looking for something new, and think you are, too. We’re artists and technicians all rolled up into one, but we don’t take that too seriously. Until we have to.
Logo types to explore
We would like to refer to "Magic Hour," or "Golden Hour" in our logo. The term "Magic Hour" refers to a special time of day where light is softer, more diffuse and more saturated with color. It is generally right before dusk. It's an amazing time of day to shoot photos because of the special qualities it imbues in the photos. we would like to also have some reference to a camera, and some sort of reference to the feeling of "Magic Hour" We love the sample logos, so please reference them. Please no clocks. And no references to practicing magic-Wands, Hats, spells, etc. We don't have specific color choices, but want the logo to have bolder colors and a simple, clean look, with a dose of web 2.0 Magic Hour Workshop founders, Ian and Jeff, are surfers and tech nerds and travelers and musicians and drinkers and gamers and gamblers and lovers and fools. Thanks!
