ToneCrusher is an artist as well as a web site. The artist is an electronic musician / producer who plays guitar, bass and amateur cello. The web site offers free ringtones composed and recorded by same artist. All the ringtones are free and are emailed to users of the web site. Site is here:
ToneCrusher the artist has just released Scenes From Saturn, an EP on Bandcamp:
This EP combines hiphop and jazz beats with synths and real instruments, including guitar solos and cello textures.
The target audience is mostly 12-25 year olds, frequent users of mobile phone media and those who actively search for alternative or unique ringtones. Logo should have an appeal to a primarily younger audience and should reflect a boutique brand (ain't your momma's ringtones...or, can't get this from AT&T) concept. The music ranges from electronic and abstract hip hop to acoustic guitars, synths and even experimental beats. A wide variety of styles but primarily would be described as electronic.
- original logo design, not a copy of some other concept
- all original files (.psd, .ai, images, etc.) delivered at the close of project to me, in Adobe CS4 compatible format
- one core, central logo concept, with a few variations for web vs. artist
- hi-res .jpg output for immediate use
I designed the logo in 2005 and as you can tell, it's not so great. I will be redesigning the site as well, but I want to get the logo right first. I would like to maintain the core colors I originally used, which are deep maroon red, grey, black and a darker blue. But, I am also open to different colors. I've included some samples from 2005.
The concept of the site is a boutique brand for original ringtones composed by an independent studio / artist. Emphasis on quality, uniqueness and small batch / one of a kind sounds. All music is 100% original, written, produced and recorded by me. Also, a sense of humor. Please look through the site at the ringtone names, descriptions and categories - that should give you a good idea of what I'm going for.
I'm not sure if 99designs has contact info, but you can email me at email@example.com with any follow up questions.
