Cocoanect is a trading cocoa company, buying cocoa beans from Africa and Latin America and selling these to chocolate makers. We are looking for a logo and identity to brand our “Beyond Beans” program; a sustainability program to support farmer livelihoods and protect the environment in origins where we buy our beans. Although we mainly buy cocoa, we ultimately also want to reach coffee farmers with the program. Therefore, the logo should not limit itself to cocoa beans only.
Beyond Beans is a pioneer label that creates true impact by connecting partners in the supply chain and going off the beaten track to find sustainable solutions, and advising our clients based on the data and expertise we gather.
The Beyond Beans program is focusing on gender, environment, children and income. Some of our current projects include: a woman in cocoa business initiative (gender), cocoa agroforestr
y (environment), child labour remediation (children), and clean cook stoves (environment, women & children health)
We set-up these initiatives for our clients (mainly large chocolate makers), and partner together with various NGO’s, research centres, and governmental institutes. The logo will be used across online and offline marketing materials, and will also be placed on large signs at program sites. That is why we are looking for a logo that stands out and is recognizable, even in the African bush.
