How Mac Broderick started their logo design journey
Center for Business Ethics and Corporate Governance
The Center for Business Ethics (CFBE) is a St. Petersburg, Russia-based NGO which is looking for a new logo (The old webpage/logo can be seen here: http://www.ethicsrussia.org/). The old logo, the pyramid, was based on the idea of building layers towards a transparent, ethical company. For example, you start with base such as a code of ethics, then this leads to a more targeted system of internal controls, and onward up the pyramid.
CFBE is looking for a new logo that signifies, transparency, trust, and professionalism. Our goal is to become an anti-corruption resource for businesses operating in Russia, as well as governments and development organizations.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
CFBE's target audience is predominately multinational corporations. As such, there is no need to include any cyrillic or distinctly Russian features, though this is not discouraged. The design should be clean and simple, conveying our message of transparency, trust, and professionalism. Other target markets are multilateral development organizations such as the World Bank and EBRD, as well as the Russian government.
There are no specific requirements, so feel free to be creative! The design should be contemporary and simple. The design for Transparency International is a good example, but nothing that needs to be followed. No specific color schemes are needed. The name of the center should be included (please do not include the ethics, ecology, economy from the original logo). No tag line needed. Thanks!
