Locate Properties, Locate GC, Locate Gold Coast, Locate Prestige
Locate Properties (we want 'Locate' to be the dominant name) is a new Real Estate Agency located on the Gold Coast, Australia. The Gold Coast property market is popular for Beachfront, Canal (Water) Front and Golf Course Fronted property. Naturally our agency is to specialize in these three property types.
Additionally, rather than offer a static office Website, our website 'locategc.com.au' has been designed as a Web 2.0 web portal with feeds/gadgets ranging from restaurant reviews, local news sources, finance, airline, and of course our real estate listings etc. Registered users of our site can post local community content, add reviews etc. Essentially we are aiming our site to become the go-to resource and an 'online home', and provide our office with maximum exposure in the area. And naturally we want to be seen as the most 'high-tech'd' office on the Coast. We are launching with a consistent look and feel across our Myspace, Facebook, Twitter accounts etc.
Property purchasers/sellers. The Gold Coast is affluent because of the nature of types of high-demand properties in the area. Properties in this region on average are one of the highest in the state. More people are driving BMW's than Toyotas.
The logo needs to take two forms. One for the Agency and one for the Web portal. 'Locate' should be the dominant logo feature as it needs to be presented in two ways: 1: Locate 'Properties' and 2: Locate 'GC.com.au'
(the latter should probably be presented as just the Locate brand with 'LocateGC.com.au' as a tag line so people don't confuse and think our site is just gc.com.au).
Ideally the logo will eventually be able to take a third look to represent our +$1m listings, to be known as 'Locate Prestige'. (e.g. a gold, embossed version of the logo with 'prestige' instead of 'properties'?)
We don't want the logo to be cliche, so beach/golf/waterfront images, colors shouldn't be dominant. We can't begin to tell you how many cliche offices are here and we don't want to look like one of them.
The colors however should be virbrant and modern, so no pastels etc preferably.
We want our web portal to be an online 'home' for our local consituents so real estate/ web portal home does tie the two together.
We want to be known for: 1. being High Tech, 2, Obviously Real Estate focused, 3, Local social/web portal.
There are no hard and fast rules, so please do your best to tie-in our the three elements above with a fresh, consumer friendly approach.
