Trak.ly lets websites and blogs fully monitor and understand the conversation about their content. It provides real-time metrics for every story along with metrics for both Twitter and Facebook. Social bookmarking sites like Digg, Google Buzz, Reddit and Stumble Upon are also part of the dialogue.
We already have interest from TIME.com, Gizmodo and Lifehacker in using this product.
Bloggers, Websites and Content Creators use Trak.ly to manage and understand their content's reach beyond simple branding. Social Media Consultants will also use this tool for managing Twitter and Facebook fan pages. This are the trailblazer of New Media, like Mashable and TechCrunch.
We need a logo that represents an innovative social media tool that is light, simple, modern and attractive. It has to stand out amongst the crowd.
1. Incorporating an animal track is okay but not preferred so it has to really work and not be cartoon-y
2. Hate to say it but think Web 2.0
For example, we love the Facebook logo as the facebook F is both recognizable a both a logo and the font:
Facebook font: http://skagitpud.org/images/uploads…k-logo.jpg
Facebook logo: http://www.textually.org/tv/archive…k-logo.png
Trak.ly will be a mobile app and a web app. The logo/typeface should take that into consideration. Here is what I currently did, yes I know it is horrible.
Trak.ly website logo: http://trak.ly/images/logo.gif
Trak.ly mobile logo: http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofil…3856_n.jpg
The word you want to stylize is: Trak.ly
Here is something we want to avoid:
